I checked the charging icon, and saw that it said "100% available (plugged in, charging)". Ichecked four of them - one was introduced in mid-2016, the others in mid-2017. The battery in your computer might be doing the best it can - batteries age over time and the "top" charge (the most charge the battery can hold) will diminish. That means a new battery can charge to 100% - and older battery may only charge to 92% -- or 88%. Withthe new motherboard, the laptop works almost fine: battery is charging, CPU runs full speed (2.2Ghz). EXCEPT: the laptop does not work on battery power.
